Our mission is to create the most healthful and clean living environment possible for our customers through ecologically sustainable business practices.

Our approach to sustainability
  • We rely on human powered transportation to meet all of our transportation needs.
  • Every cleaning product we use is non-toxic, EPA approved, and sourced as locally as possible.
  • The waste generated from each cleaning job is completely compostable: We use 100% recycled, unbleached, biodegradable paper towels, re-usable cleaning cloths, and biodegradable trash bags.
  • We purchase carbon offsets to compensate for the electricity used during each cleaning job.
  • We work with our customers to help eliminate waste wherever possible

Services Offered

The Happy Home:

This service is for a regular weekly or biweekly cleaning only. Room by room, here’s what we’ll do:
  • Kitchen: dishes (clean, dry, put away), clean outside of stove, refrigerator, counters, cupboards, sinks, tabletops, clean windows, and clean the floor.
  • Bathrooms: clean toilets, sinks, shower, mirrors, and clean the floor.
  • Bedrooms: dust surfaces, clean mirrors and windows, vacuum floor (including under the bed), make the bed, fold/organize clothes, books, etc.
  • Living Room: Dust surfaces and lights, wipe down tabletops and organize clutter, vacuum furniture, clean floors, spot clean walls, light switches and door handles.
  • All floors will be vacuumed, swept and mopped and all trashes will be emptied.

The Transformation:

This is best if your house hasn’t been deep cleaned in a while, especially if we’re setting up a cleaning schedule for regular cleanings. This covers a Happy Home clean as well as deep cleaning in detail:
  • baseboard scrub
  • cobwebs in corners
  • inside of refrigerator
  • deep scrub over-looked areas
  • ...and more!
The Bright Light:

Want to customize your cleaning list? Need your laundry done regularly or need help with the groceries? A closet de-cluttered? The Bright Light is for you. Tell us exactly what you need and we can do our best to make it happen. For this service, a regular schedule of biweekly cleaning or more is required.

Additional services
Here are some things we can set up to maintain a wholesome, toxic-free environment.

  • Cleaning product replacement: Our product replacement service removes all toxic cleaning products already in your home and replaces them with healthy, safe, and very effective alternatives. During each visit, we will replenish your cleaning supplies. This saves you a trip to the store and removes the guesswork from choosing the right cleaning agents.
  • Personal vacuum filters: This comes standard with every cleaning service. In order to eliminate the potential to spread allergens and other toxins from home to home, we use separate filters for each home.
  • Waste management: Reduce your carbon footprint! We can help you to reduce the amount of waste created in your home. Together we can create a compartmentalized system that streamlines the waste flow through your home.
  • Household-toxics removal consultation: We can assist you with responsibly disposing of toxic waste that has accumulated in your home over the years. For some items such as latex paint or motor oil, the City of Seattle provides a number of services designed to safely dispose of them. We can help point you to the right resource. In some cases, we can even do the removal and disposal ourselves.

Information on green cleaning

Today’s conventional cleaning products use an extremely large amount of toxic chemicals. These products are usually stored in plastic bottles and those chemicals are able to leach out into the air. If you can smell it, you’re breathing it!
Also, when used for cleaning surfaces in the household, these chemicals linger and can be absorbed through the skin. When several different chemicals are used in the same space, they sometimes react and create new toxic substances. This can lead to air pollution in the home and potentially dangerous health risks.

“Each year there are more than 5 million household product poisonings reported, most of them involving children. With all these chemicals, it’s no wonder that the EPA found the air quality in our homes to be 5 times to 10 times more toxic than the air outside, and typically contaminated by anywhere from 20 to 150 different pollutants. Much of this pollution comes from petrochemical cleaners.”
